The Young Bucks Tag Team Title Match Set For AEW All In
Tony Khan has announced who The Young Bucks will defend the AEW Tag Team Titles against at All In.
For the first time since winning the AEW Tag Team Titles four months earlier, The Young Bucks defended the gold against The Acclaimed on AEW Dynamite in Norfolk.
That championship match was highly anticipated since The Acclaimed’s Max Caster & Anthony Bowens earned the title match, yet The Young Bucks (Matthew & Nicholas Jackson) weren’t in a rush to defend the gold.
When the Bucks finally faced The Acclaimed on Dynamite, Matt tried to use the AEW Tag Team Title as a weapon, so FTR’s Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler went down to the ring. Dax took the title and Matt spit on Dax, so Dax tackled Matt and punched him. The referee saw it, so it was a disqualification finish.
That chaotic finish on Dynamite led to the AEW Collision main event on August 17th that saw FTR face The Acclaimed for an AEW Tag Team Title match at All In. The teams went 30 minutes in a match that ended as a time-limit draw.
The Young Bucks Will Defend AEW Tag Team Titles Against Two Teams
After the match, The Acclaimed’s mentor Billy Gunn tried to talk to FTR, but Dax punched Billy and a brawl was on. Both teams got into a fight around the ring with security and officials trying to break it up.
On commentary, Tony Schiavone said that he heard from AEW’s Owner Tony Khan and that at AEW All In, The Young Bucks will defend the AEW Tag Team Titles against both FTR and The Acclaimed in a three-way tag team match.
It will be the second straight year where FTR is against The Young Bucks at All In since FTR retained the titles over the Bucks at AEW All In 2023. However, this time it’s going to be a triple threat match with The Acclaimed in the match as well.
AEW All In takes place on August 25th at Wembley Stadium in London, England in front of AEW’s biggest crowd of the year with over 50,000 fans in attendance.
