The Young Bucks Make Controversial Remarks About Upcoming AEW Title Match

The Young Bucks AEW Tag Team Titles

The Young Bucks know how to infuriate wrestling fans and they’ve done it again just days before an AEW Tag Team Title defense.

At the AEW Dynasty PPV in St. Louis on April 21st, The Young Bucks duo of Matthew & Nicholas Jackson defeated FTR in a vacant Ladder Match to become the new AEW Tag Team Champions. The Young Bucks had help from Jack Perry as they would go on to join Kazuchika Okada to form the new version of The Elite stable.

That match was nearly four months ago as the Bucks sit at 113 days as the AEW Tag Team Champions. During this third AEW Tag Team Title reign for The Young Bucks, how many times have they defended their titles? The answer is zero.

It was recently revealed that The Young Bucks are working on an AEW deal that has them on limited dates, which means they aren’t going to be at AEW Dynamite every week and they rarely go to Collision.

Since the Bucks don’t defend the titles and are on a limited schedule for AEW standards, it has upset fans because the once-strong AEW tag team division is hurting due to how rarely the titles are defended. No title defenses in four months might be okay in other promotions for some tiles, but it’s rare to see that in AEW.

This Wednesday on AEW Dynamite, The Young Bucks are actually going to defend the AEW Tag Team Titles against The Acclaimed’s Max Caster & Anthony Bowens, who earned this title shot two months ago in June.

The Young Bucks Reference Their Limited Dates On Social Media

While reacting to the match announcement, The Young Bucks went on Twitter/X to troll wrestling fans by saying they have had the “greatest tag title run in AEW” which is likely an example of sarcasm and they even mentioned having limited dates as well.

Going to continue the greatest tag title run in @AEW history when we successfully defend our titles against The Acclaimed on one of our very limited dates, this Wednesday on #AEWDynamite!

In other news involving the Bucks, the brother duo recently celebrated 20 years as a tag team while Nicholas Jackson shared a ridiculous photo of the duo.
