The Young Bucks Reflect On Rediscovering The Love Of The Game

Young Bucks

The Young Bucks are stronger than ever.

The last 12 months have been quite the journey for The Young Bucks after they bailed out of AEW in October 2024 with the Death Riders running rampant backstage.

Off the back of that escape, the pair spent some time away from the company before returning at Dynasty in April to align with Jon Moxley and his growing faction.

At All In, Matt and Nick lost to Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland, which cost them their EVP positions with the company. This kick-started the “Broke Bucks era” and their quest to climb back up the AEW ladder.

The next stop on that climb will see The Bucks face Jurassic Express at WrestleDream with a winning purse of $500,000 on the line.

The Young Bucks Can’t Wait For WrestleDream

In a new interview with Justin Barrasso, Nick Jackson said that he feels he and Matt have regained their spark. He added that he’s looking forward to tearing the house down at WrestleDream with Jack Perry and Luchasaurus.

“We have really found that spark again, that love of the game. It’s been a year where we’ve really dug into our old bag of tricks and gone all out, so it only makes sense to go out there and kill it with two AEW originals. We all take great pride in our matches together.”

The Young Bucks famously beat Jurassic Express to win the World Tag Team Titles in a Ladder Match back at Road Rager in 2022. After the match, Perry and Luchasaurus’ then-mentor Christian Cage attacked the former, turning heel in the process.

At that year’s All Out, Luchasaurus turned his back on Perry to join forces with Cage.
