The Young Bucks On Verge Of AEW Return

The Young Bucks AEW

The Young Bucks might be gone, but they won’t be for much longer.

After a near three-month hiatus, The Young Bucks returned to action at Wrestle Dynasty on January 5. The bout was their first in a Japanese ring since 2019, and they celebrated that comeback by claiming the IWGP Tag Team Championship.

However, just 35 days after winning the gold, The Bucks lost to Hiromu Takahashi and Tetsuya Naito at The New Beginning. Following the loss, The Young Bucks announced it was “time to come home,” a sign many took to mean they would be heading back to AEW.

AEW Making Plans For The Young Bucks

Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that “plans are being worked on” for The Bucks’ return to AEW. However, he added that he didn’t know exactly when that comeback would be.

While they haven’t returned yet, missing several California dates already, The Young Bucks were backstage at the show in Oceanside, CA, and there are plans being worked on for a return although we don’t know when, but it’s not like they’re in that place where so many AEW talents to go disappear.

Matt and Nick Jackson haven’t appeared in AEW since losing the World Tag Team Titles to Private Party on October 30. Following the defeat, the pair left the arena, claiming the company had become too chaotic with the Death Riders destroying everyone in their path.
