The Young Bucks Mock AEW Title Change Speculation

Young Bucks AEW Tag Team Champions

The Young Bucks have gone to social media to dismiss a report regarding a recent AEW match.

At AEW WrestleDream in Tacoma, The Young Bucks (Matthews & Nicholas Jackson) defended the AEW Tag Team Titles against Private Party’s Zay & Quen.

Going into the tag team showdown at WrestleDream, the backstory that was pushed was about how Private Party’s most significant AEW victory was on an episode of Dynamite in October 2019. This time, the AEW Tag Team Titles were on the line.

Unfortunately for Private Party, they failed to get the win and the titles. The match was a close battle between the two teams with multiple nearfalls for both sides. However, after the Bucks took out Queen on the floor, the Bucks hit a TK Driver (spike piledriver) on Zayn for the pinfall win.

It has been reported by Fightful Select that some people within AEW pushed for Private Party to win the Tag Team Titles at WrestleDream.

The Young Bucks React To Backstage Report

On social media, The Young Bucks X/Twitter account responded to a post about that report and they used a line that is most associated with WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan: “That doesn’t work for us, brother.” They obviously changed it to “us” instead of “me” but it’s a famous quote that wrestling fans know as a Hulk Hogan thing.

After The Young Bucks won at WrestleDream, the camera remained on Zay, who had his head in his hands looking sad about the loss. Quen helped his partner to his feet while the announcers talked about how the team had an incredible performance.

Even though Private Party failed to win the AEW Tag Team Titles at WrestleDream, they are still a young team with a bright future who could still be the Tag Team Champions in AEW, perhaps before the year comes to an end.
