The Wyatt Sicks’ Next WWE Challengers Revealed

The Wyatt Sicks win WWE Tag Team Title

The Wyatt Sicks are focused on facing some familiar opponents in their next WWE Tag Team Title match.

There was a #1 Contender’s match on WWE SmackDown in Orlando as The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) faced off against the Melo Don’t Miz duo of Carmelo Hayes and The Miz. Whoever won the match would get a WWE Tag Team Title match against The Wyatt Sicks’ Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy.

Before the match, The Street Profits dismissed the idea that they were having problems as a team and were focused on winning to get another shot at the WWE Tag Team Titles.

As the match progressed, there were problems, but they primarily affected Melo and Miz. As Melo was going to the top to do a move, Miz tagged himself in, and Melo wasn’t happy about it. They stared at eachother, and the Profits capitalized.

Dawkins got the tag, he punched Miz and Melo was crotched on the top rope. Dawkins hit Miz with a splash, a jumping kick, and a spinning neckbreaker. Dawkins followed up with a spinebuster and Ford hit the From The Heavens splash (Frog Splash) on Miz for the pinfall win. Melo could have made the save, but he didn’t want to do it, and he stayed on the floor.

After the match, the Wyatt Sicks group, consisting of Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis as the WWE Tag Team Champions, along with Erick Rowan and Nikki Cross, appeared on the commentary table to stare at their next opponents, The Street Profits. Bo Dallas did not appear with the group.

What’s Different About The Wyatt Sicks Compared To Joe Gacy’s NXT Group

During his WWE career, Joe Gacy led a group called The Schism in NXT that featured The Rock’s daughter Ava, among others.

In a recent interview, Gacy spoke about the differences between The Wyatt Sicks and Schism, even though both groups feature characters that might be considered scary to others.

I guess the difference would be Schism was kind of finding its way, and everyone in the group was a little lost on our own. I think we didn’t really know where we were headed. But I think now, collectively as a group, everyone in the Wyatt Sicks at one time or another, maybe has felt forgotten a little bit.

So we all built up this hunger that we’re ready to kind of take on the world, and now we have a clear direction. I think that’s the difference, that we have a direction, and that’s where we’re headed.

WWE has not announced when The Wyatt Sicks will defend the Tag Team Titles against The Street Profits, but it should happen soon.
