The Bizarre WWE Tattoo Stephanie McMahon Almost Got

Stephanie McMahon WWE

Stephanie McMahon has revealed she was close to getting a WWE-themed tattoo that would have left no under any illusions about where her loyalty lay.

Cody Rhodes infamously put his logo where the whole world could see it when he revealed his American Nightmare tattoo on his neck. But it seems that Stephanie McMahon could have been the trendsetter for unfortunate wrestling tattoos.

Speaking on her What’s Your Story? podcast with Dominik Mysterio, Stephanie McMahon revealed she almost branded herself with the old WWE logo before thinking better of it:

When I was younger, I wanted a tattoo and I was going to get the WWF logo. Thank God I didn’t do that. I’d be like a walking billboard if I had all the different logos that have evolved over time. I’m tatted on the inside.

Why Did WWE Change Their Logo?

WWE had changed their logo over the years, but in 2002, the company were forced into a change that was not all of their doing. After losing a lawsuit in the UK to the World Wildlife Fund, the World Wrestling Federation “got the F out” and rebranded as WWE. The famous scratch logo had the F chopped off and formed the basis of the familiar double-W logo that is still used today.
