The WWE Superstar Eric Bischoff Thinks Goldberg Should Face In His Final Match

WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff proposed an intriguing idea for Goldberg’s potential final match.

On an episode of his podcast “83 Weeks,” Eric Bischoff suggested that Goldberg should face rising star Bron Breakker in what could serve as a passing-of-the-torch moment for the young talent. Bischoff emphasised the value of using Goldberg’s star power to elevate a younger wrestler, particularly someone with the potential to become a top star. He explained:

I would be using Bill to help get somebody over and I would look for an underdog, I’d look for somebody young or I’d look for something that had a story to it that you could tell without having six months of TV behind you.

The wrestling veteran specifically named Bron Breakker, son of the legendary Rick Steiner, as the perfect candidate for this high-profile match. Bischoff elaborated on why Breakker would be an ideal opponent, pointing to the Steiner family’s legacy within WWE.

Is there a way to use Rick Steiner’s son, you could use Rick, they’ve done a good job of establishing the Steiner brothers since WrestleMania, their name even came up a couple of times tonight so the audience knows who they are, why they’re being talked about.

Bischoff also highlighted the connection between Breakker and Goldberg, referencing their shared history from the WCW days. He said:

They also know the relationship with Bron and the connection to Bill going back to WCW.

This proposed match would not only give Goldberg, who has had an illustrious career spanning decades in both WCW and WWE, a fitting farewell, but it could also serve as a major career boost for Breakker, one of WWE’s rising stars.

Which One Of His Creations Does Eric Bischoff Credit With The Success Of Darby Allin In AEW?

Eric Bischoff spoke about the influence the WCW Cruiserweight division had on the modern wrestling landscape, he particularly pointed out how smaller wrestlers, such as Darby Allin in AEW, before the Cruiserweights weren’t commonplace in wrestling as the business geared more towards larger wrestlers. But after the success of performers such as Rey Mysterio, Eddie Guerrero, and Dean Malenko, smaller wrestlers are more the norm.
