I just saw this amazing performer who was so young and so already TV ready, then all of a sudden, she shows up in NXT. I couldn’t be happier for her and I compared her to, she’s the next Mickie James. She has that personality and this heel run that I see her having, I never saw that. Which is like when Bully Ray says, sometimes do the unexpected and it works.

Dreamer recounted a pivotal moment in Perez’s career: her title-for-title match against Deonna Purrazzo in January 2022. This match highlighted Perez’s potential and marked a significant step in her wrestling journey. Following this intense showdown, Dreamer advocated for Perez to join TNA Wrestling, recognising her talent and potential impact on the promotion. However, Perez ultimately chose to sign with WWE, making her debut on the NXT brand in April of the same year.
