The WWE Hall Of Famer Who Says Eddie Guerrero Was

WWE Hall of Famer John Bradshaw Layfield paid tribute to his late friend and fellow Hall of Famer, Eddie Guerrero.

During a Live Q&A session with Sportskeeda Wrestling. JBL offered heartfelt praise for Guerrero, reflecting on the legendary wrestler’s unmatched talent and lasting legacy in the world of professional wrestling. During the session, JBL emphasised how Guerrero’s true in-ring brilliance went beyond what fans could see on TV or during live events.

It’s inexplicable to say to people how good he was, you don’t get that from watching him.

JBL remarked, underlining the subtle genius of Guerrero’s craft that was often missed by casual observers. JBL went on to highlight Guerrero’s versatility as a performer, noting how he was able to deliver outstanding matches with a variety of opponents, from high-flying competitors to giants in the industry.

Eddie had great matches with anybody. He had great matches with Big Show, he had great matches with Rey [Mysterio], he had great matches with The Undertaker, and he had great matches with me.

JBL recalled, offering insight into Guerrero’s ability to adjust his style to bring out the best in his opponents. He added:

When you watch some of his old stuff you forget how good he was.

Perhaps the highest compliment came when JBL declared:

He was on a different level than everybody else.

JBL concluded by praising Guerrero’s seamless in-ring work, stating:

The stuff he would do especially with guys, not like me, but guys that could go like him, he just did incredible stuff. It was absolutely amazing. He was so smooth.

What Does WWE Think About JBL Appearing In Other Promotions?

Despite being under contract to WWE on a Legends deal it has been reported that the company is not upset with JBL for appearing in other promotions such as his appearances for independent shows and TNA. Due to the nature of the Legends deal, JBL is allowed to appear for other companies as long as he isn’t already booked by WWE and he doesn’t use their trademark for the name JBL when he makes an appearance for another company.
