The Weeknd Sets Unlikely WWE WrestleMania Record

The Weeknd

Major music star The Weeknd has set his own WWE record after it was revealed he will be providing the theme song for WrestleMania 39.

WrestleMania 39 will take place over the 1st and 2nd of April and emanate from the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California as the event ‘goes Hollywood’ once again.

Rumours of who will be competing at WrestleMania have been running rampant as the event approaches with John Cena said to have a likely opponent in LA – and it won’t be Logan Paul.

Suggestions that The Rock will be competing in what could be his final WWE match have rumbled on for months as a tantalising showdown with current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns could very well be in the works. News of a special segment on the 30th anniversary edition of Raw has only heightened the belief that The Rock is set for one last comeback.

One star that is almost certain to be at WrestleMania 39 is music star The Weeknd. A social media account that follows the star’s career closely discussed the star’s song Less Than Zero being used as the official theme song for WrestleMania 39. That gives The Weeknd an unlikely place in the WWE record books as he is the first recording artist to have a song used as the event’s theme for the fourth year in a row.
