The Undertaker’s Streak Shouldn’t Have Been Broken Says AEW Star

The Undertaker Brock Lesnar WrestleMania 30

The Undertaker’s streak is one of the most phenomenal topics in the pro-wrestling industry, and the streak ending was an absolute shock to the WWE Universe.

The Deadman secured 21 consecutive victories at The Show of Shows ranging from WrestleMania VII in 1991 to WrestleMania 29 in 2013. The streak had become the talk of town, and fans never got tired of watching the Hall of Famer win.

However, the majestic streak came to an end at WrestleMania 30 in 2014 when The Undertaker faced Brock Lesnar. The moment when The Beast defeated The Lord Of Darkness is considered as one of the most stunning moments in pro-wrestling history.

MVP gives his honest opinion about The Undertaker’s streak ending

It is believed that Vince McMahon ended the streak to shock the audience, and making it a moment that fans would talk about for ages to come! Furthermore, it helped in elevating Brock Lesnar as an unstoppable force.

During an episode of Marking Out with MVP and Dwayne Swayze podcast, AEW star MVP discussed the streak, and what he feels about it.

“I don’t know why that happened… It was my personal opinion that if anybody deserved to have a streak not be broken, it was The Undertaker for everything he’s done for that company”.

While it is true that The Undertaker could have refused to have his streak broken, The Deadman was known for his commitment towards WWE and Vince McMahon. He was willing to have the streak broken if it meant pushing forward the business and making it profitable.

The Undertaker believes that Brock Lesnar did not need to break the streak, and other superstars could have benefitted from it.
