Does The Undertaker Really Decide WWE Hall of Fame Inductees?
The Undertaker is the one who announced Stephanie McMahon’s Hall of Fame announcement.
Right before the main event at WWE’s inaugural Wrestlepalooza PLE, The American Badass made a surprise appearance and rolled into the ring on his iconic motorcycle and went to the ringside, where Stephanie was sitting. He announced that The Billion Dollar Princess would be the first inductee into the Hall of Fame class of 2026.
Many fans wondered why The Phenom made the announcement instead of McMahon’s wife, Triple H, who is also the Chief Content Officer of WWE. This incident has led many critics and fans to believe that The Dead Man might have some influence over the Hall of Fame committee.
The Undertaker Might Be One of the In-charges of the WWE Hall of Fame Committee
Speaking on his podcast, Stevie Richards said he believes Taker is in charge of the Hall of Fame committee to some extent.
Is Taker in charge of who gets into the Hall of Fame to some degree now? Did he take that over?… I just have the hunch that he is. I don’t know why. Why would Taker be the one to come out and not Triple H to say you’re part of the Hall of Fame? These things are very interesting and don’t make sense.
Co-host James Romero agreed with Richards, saying:
Stephanie’s in, Triple H is in, and Michelle McCool, The Undertaker’s wife, is in the Hall of Fame. I suspect that’s actually true, that the Undertaker is the one or one or maybe the lead of a committee at the very least, or part of a committee at the very least. He’s choosing who goes into the Hall of Fame.
Stevie Richards reiterated:
Yeah, I would have to agree with that because especially from Wrestlepalooza, with him coming out and basically saying, you’re being inducted into the Hall of Fame. (From 4:31 to 5:50)
