The Undertaker Credits WWE Hall Of Famer For Helping Career Last Longer

The Undertaker WWE Hall of Fame

The Undertaker is grateful that he had another WWE Hall of Famer by his side to help his career last even longer.

During his legendary 30-year run as The Undertaker from Survivor Series 1990 until his retirement at Survivor Series 2020, there was one wrestler who was closely associated with him more than anybody else. That man is another WWE Hall of Famer, Kane.

As The Brothers of Destruction, The Undertaker and Kane spent many years fighting each other, but they also spent a lot of time as tag team partners as well. As opponents, The Undertaker and Kane wrestled at WrestleMania twice, they competed in unique matches like an Inferno Match and a Buried Alive Match.

The Brothers of Destruction tag team won three Tag Team Titles together, which included two reigns as WWE Tag Team Champions and a reign as WCW Tag Team Champions as well.

While speaking on a Patreon exclusive Q&A with both he and Glenn “Kane” Jacobs, The Undertaker said that the relationship his character had with Kane helped prolong his career.

“There’s a huge part of my career, if he’s not there, that just doesn’t happen. There was a lot of things that led out of us working at different times, to work into different programs and different angles.”

“I mean, it’s not just the angles and the times that we were working against each other, but then, too, it allowed me to grow as a character because it gave me something that I could relate to. Someone that I could relate to. I mean, ‘that’s my flesh and blood’ kind of a deal. It was the only way that really worked in making me vulnerable in any way.”

The Undertaker Was More Vulnerable Because Of Kane’s Existence

As he continued, The Undertaker continued to make the point that Kane’s presence helped Taker’s character a lot because it made the Deadman more vulnerable.

“I learned a lot in working with him, [including] how to make myself more vulnerable moving forward. Without Kane, I’m a killer until I’m used up. I don’t know that I go for 30 years without that story.”

The Undertaker and Kane are in the WWE Hall of Fame individually as two of the biggest superstars in company history. Recently, Taker said that he thinks the Brothers of Destruction should get a Hall of Fame induction as a team as well.
