The Undertaker Surprised By Newest WWE Star

The Undertaker Reveals Which WWE Hall Of Famer Was Scared Of His Punches

Ricky Starks has appeared in WWE and it seems he has a surprise supporter in The Undertaker who has something of a history with the ex-AEW star.

Ricky Starks made his shock WWE debut on the February 11 edition of NXT. Starks had not been used in months by Tony Khan as his AEW career fizzled out. The former AEW Tag Team Champion was released by Tony Khan alongside Malakai Black and Miro.

While WWE represents a whole new world for Ricky Starks, it seems he has a friend he can count on in The Undertaker.

The Undertaker Caught Off Guard By Ricky Starks Debut

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, The Undertaker described his surprising history with Ricky Starks and how he was surprised to see Starks in WWE:

So I’m training at this gym. I notice this kid is there every day. Doesn’t say anything, really respectful. As the training went along and we needed different spotters and different help, he was always right there. Finally we struck up a conversation, and he told me that he was trying to break into the business. I kinda talked to him about different things.

And he actually, one of the Rumbles that Michelle was a surprise guest in, she wanted to get in the ring, and he came down and trained with her. I’ve seen him a few times here and there, and I’ve always had great conversations with him. He’s such a good kid, such a respectful kid.

Yeah so that (debut) caught me completely off guard – I hadn’t seen him in probably a year, year-and-a-half maybe, and then I just looked up and saw him there. But yeah, that’s how we met. We met in a gym when I was getting ready for Shane at WrestleMania.
