The Undertaker Reveals What He Likes About WWE’s Logan Paul
The Undertaker appreciates something unique about Logan Paul’s rise in WWE while also revealing what he told the US Champion at WrestleMania.
It was over four years ago at WrestleMania 36 in 2020 when The Undertaker competed in his last WWE match. It was a Boneyard Match that saw The Deadman defeat AJ Styles in a unique Cinematic Match in front of no fans.
At WrestleMania 40, The Undertaker made his presence felt during the Cody Rhodes-Roman Reigns main event match that saw Cody beat Reigns to become the Undisputed WWE Champion. A big reason why Cody became the champion is because The Undertaker showed up during that Bloodline Rules match and gave The Rock a huge Chokeslam to prevent Rock from getting involved.
In the days after his WrestleMania appearance, The Undertaker spoke about how much that moment meant to him because it gave him one more moment in front of a big WrestleMania crowd.
On a recent episode of his Six Feet Under podcast, the legendary WWE Hall of Famer praised current United States Champion Logan Paul not just for being a good performer, but for being a bit of an “oddity” in terms of how he became a WWE superstar.
“That’s the one key thing I like about him, I mean not only his athleticism and how fast he picks up the in-ring stuff, but what I like is that he is not a polished professional sports entertainer.”
“Everyone has pretty much the same formula because that’s how they all come up, he’s an outsider that’s come into the business with this huge following and this huge background. So I kind of like the fact that he’s a little bit of an oddity.”
What Did The Undertaker Tell Logan Paul At WrestleMania?
At WrestleMania 40, Logan Paul retained his US Title in a triple threat match with Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. The finish saw Orton drop Owens with an RKO and Paul sent Orton into the ring post to take him out of the match for a few moments. That allowed Paul to go up top and hit an incredible Frog Splash on Owens for the pinfall win.
The Undertaker spoke about that impressive Frog Splash on his podcast and revealed what he told Paul about it.
“That frog splash that he did to go over in that match, dude, I told him, I knew you were going over with that one. You don’t get up that high unless you’re going to go over with it.”
Logan Paul has been the US Champion for over 160 days and it sounds like he’s got a fan in The Undertaker.
