The Undertaker Sends Retirement Message To AEW’s Sting
The Undertaker has given his thoughts on what would have happened if he had ever mixed it up with Sting in the ring – and The Deadman would be on top.
Throughout their careers, wrestling fans have clamoured for a dream match between The Undertaker and Sting. With both men exuding mysterious energy while being the conscience of their respective companies, a bout between the two at times seemed both inevitable and impossible.
When Sting finally arrived in WWE in 2014, many felt this would be the chance but instead, Sting’s opponent at WrestleMania 31 was Triple H. The outcome of that match shocked many with Triple H picking up the win but according to The Undertaker, a match against him would have turned out just the same for The Stinger.
With a knowing smile, The Undertaker told Bill Apter exactly what would have happened if he’d met Sting in the ring:
I’d have killed him. He’d have got a Tombstone brother, he’s going out after I’d planted him.
The Undertaker Sends Message To Sting Ahead Of Retirement
With Sting ready to retire at AEW Revolution in 2024, The Undertaker sent a message to his fellow WWE Hall of Famer on an iconic career:
Yeah, I would love to say, Sting, congratulations man, on just a spectacular career. I mean just one true icon of our industry. He’s done everything, and like I said just the longevity of that character, just well done, and congratulations. I hope retirement is everything that you want it to be and you deserve everything you have.
In his own retirement, The Undertaker is keeping active having launched his own podcast. Whether Sting decides to sit down with a pair of headphones and tell his own story remains to be seen.
