The Undertaker Recalls Mentoring Rising WWE Talent

The Undertaker

The Undertaker has looked back on his final years with WWE.

After spending year after year chasing greatness with the likes of Bret Hart, The Rock, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold, and more, there came a time towards the end of his career when The Undertaker was the last man standing.

Many of the legends of the previous two decades had moved on, and in many ways, The Deadman was a relic from an earlier era. But this placed him in a position where he was able to help the next generation of stars such as The Shield, Kevin Owens, and Bray Wyatt move into the main event picture.

Speaking on his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker recalled realising there was no one left to push him, meaning it was time to adjust.

“There was a time period when we had an influx of old talent moving out and new talent that was coming up. I kind of went from, I’d stopped having to chase, I was the guy. Now it went into me grooming these guys before my day was up. There was nobody who could push me, now let me reach back and pull as many guys up as I could.”

The Undertaker Heaps Praise On Logan Paul

During an appearance on Impaulsive, The Undertaker credited Logan Paul with making the United States Title mean something.

The comments were contrary to the feelings of many fans who felt Paul did little with the championship before losing it to LA Knight at SummerSlam. Despite holding the title for 273 days, Paul defended it just three times, including the match in which he lost it.
