The Undertaker Reacts To WWE & UFC Merger: “I’m Really Excited”
The Undertaker is excited by the recently completed merger between WWE and UFC.
On September 12th, the merger between WWE and UFC was finally completed, uniting the companies under the Endeavor umbrella as the TKO Group.
While the deal is huge for combat sports and professional wrestling, on a smaller scale, it also brought together two of The Undertaker’s biggest passions.
The Deadman became a legend in WWE via a career spanning 30 years, while he’s a huge fan of UFC having attended several fights going back many years. More recently, the WWE Hall of Famer attended the boxing match between Tyson Fury and former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou with Vince McMahon.
While in Saudi Arabia, ‘Taker was interviewed by MMA Junkie alongside McMahon, discussing the merger between UFC and WWE. The veteran said he was excited about the deal, and the potential for growth.
“I’m going to get a lot of good tickets to UFC and WWE events [laughs]… You know he charges me?” he joked of McMahon before saying, “No I’m just kidding. But no it’s going to be a lot of fun obviously. You know, I’ve been involved with WWE for 33 years and been a big fan of the UFC for a long time so I’m really excited about the merger and the potential for growth worldwide.”
The Undertaker To Launch New Podcast
Although he’s well and truly retired from in-ring action, The Undertaker has remained active within the wrestling world. The star makes occasional appearances at the Performance Center, hosts his one-man show, and still makes time to pop up on television from time to time.
On top of this, it’s now been announced that he’s got a new podcast on the way.
