The Undertaker Proud Of Stuck WWE Star After Recent Success
The Undertaker is happy one WWE star is getting their moment in the sun.
Despite Damage CTRL exploding onto the WWE scene in the summer of 2022 as Bayley returned from injury, the star struggled to gain momentum. While there was never any doubting her skills in the ring or on the microphone, Bayley’s often been the most overlooked of WWE’s Four Horsewomen.
However, that all changed in January 2024, as she won the women’s Royal Rumble match after entering at number three. Shortly after her win, Damage CTRL turned their backs on her, but Bayley got revenge by pinning IYO SKY to claim the Women’s Title at WrestleMania 40.
Bayley’s crowning moment was incredibly popular with fans, and apparently also with The Undertaker.
Speaking on his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker said he was proud of the new champion for refusing to get lost in the mid-card.
“I’m so proud of her because she kind of got stuck in a slot for a while. And a lot of times when that happens, sometimes people kind of give up and they kind of just end up and be content at that mid-card range. So I was happy. I was really happy for Bayley to get her flowers there and show there’s a lot of gas left in the tank there.”
The WWE Hall of Famer also heaped praise on Rea Ripley, although he feels there’s more to come from the Aussie star.
“She’s really coming into her own,” Undertaker said. “She’s obviously had a nice year, but I think she’s only scratched the surface of how good she’s going to be.”
The Undertaker Full Of Praise For Triple H’s WWE Vision
Meanwhile, The Undertaker is also impressed with how Triple H is making an impact on WWE. The Deadman praised The Game for his ability to relate to the young stars under his guidance while giving them space to be creative and express themselves.
‘Taker added that Triple H has always had a good mind for the business, so his new-found success shouldn’t be a surprise.
