The Undertaker Reveals If John Cena Is On His Pro Wrestling Mount Rushmore
The Undertaker has made his choices for who he thinks should be on the pro wrestling Mount Rushmore.
Many people in pro wrestling get asked about their choices for a Mount Rushmore. The Mount Rushmore National Memorial is in South Dakota and it features the heads of four former American Presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln.
In the world of pro wrestling, people get asked about their four wrestlers that would be on a Mt. Rushmore.
During a past interview, The Undertaker went with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, Andre The Giant and Hulk Hogan as his Mount Rushmore. He was asked about that by the Daily Mail and if he would include more current WWE stars like John Cena and Roman Reigns.
“You look at time periods and era for Cena then you think about the incredible run that Roman had. In this day and age, where everything happens in a blink of an eye. ‘We don’t like this, we’re going to go in a different direction.’
To be champion for that long, that’s a big testament to his dedication and his work and, and the confidence that the company has. Right now, yeah (I am sticking with Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Andre the Giant and Stone Cold Steve Austin). Just when you think of those four, their impact that they’ve had on the industry.
I don’t think really for a long time people knew what wrestling was until they they saw Andre on the Johnny Carson Show and all of those places and Flair was the face of that old school wrestling and Hogan transcended the business with the the run in the late 80s.
My goodness, there was no one any more over than Stone Cold Steve Austin ever. Just from where the business was to where it went to, where everyone on the roster is a household name, to be behind that movement or in front of that movement… you’ve got to be on Rushmore for that.”
The Undertaker Supports The UK Getting WrestleMania
There have been 41 WrestleManias with this year’s event about to take place in Las Vegas. Every WrestleMania has taken place in the United States except for the two that were in Toronto, Canada.
The subject of the United Kingdom getting a WrestleMania has been brought up constantly for years.
In the same interview with the Daily Mail, The Undertaker spoke about how he wants to see the UK get a WrestleMania in the future.
“I think you guys [The United Kingdom] have more than earned it, and obviously you have the facilities and the capacity to do it. I’m just putting it out there. I don’t know anything, but I’m just saying, you guys should definitely be in line, that WrestleMania has to come to the United Kingdom.”
Whether it happens is anyone’s guess, but as WWE continues to do events around the world, it’s certainly a possibility.
