What The Undertaker Misses Most About Being A WWE Superstar
There are some things that The Undertaker misses about being in the WWE ring.
Many people consider The Undertaker to be the greatest character in WWE history since he spent 30 years in the role until he retired officially in 2020. That kind of longevity is rare and to perform at such a high level for so long is a testament to how talented Taker was.
Since retiring as an in-ring performer, The Undertaker is still around the business as a successful podcast host and he’s also a coach on the brand new WWE LFG show that premiered on February 16th.
Even though The Undertaker is still involved as a part of WWE, he can’t get back into the ring more time considering he’s going to be 60 years old this year and suffered numerous injuries in his career. He has accepted the fact that his in-ring days are over.
The Undertaker Misses Performing For The Crowd
During an appearance on ABC’s Good Morning America, The Undertaker was asked about his life as a pro wrestler and what he missed about not being able to wrestle anymore.
“My gosh. I mean, when you’re standing in a stadium full of 100,000 people and they’re screaming your name, it’s kind of an adrenaline that you just, it’s hard to replace.”
As he continued, Taker also spoke about being around other wrestlers and the bond you form with them.
“I miss the camaraderie between myself and the guys that I share the ring with. Some of them, some of them you don’t care for, some of them you do.
But just the kind of, my era was a kind of band of gypsies type thing. You know, we traveled up and down the roads together. We when we were with each other more than we were our own families. Yeah. And the camaraderie and the and the friendships that I’ve made through this business is just something that will be with me for the rest of my life.
And, you know, now that I’m I’m home, you just you don’t you don’t see those guys and everybody’s moved on now.”
At WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia, the Deadman gave The Rock a huge Chokeslam to help Cody Rhodes defeat Roman Reigns on his way to becoming the WWE Champion. The Undertaker called it payback on Rock considering their long history together from earlier in their careers.
