The Undertaker Hits Back At Online Speculation

The Undertaker

The Undertaker has hit back at his critics.

WWE legend The Undertaker and Michelle McCool married in 2010, and naturally, this sparked speculation that the veteran had used, and would use, his influence to help McCool’s career.

Even at that point, Undertaker had a close friendship with Vince McMahon, having been with WWE for two decades.

The Undertaker continues to have a close relationship with Vince McMahon and recently attended his 80th birthday celebrations.

On the latest episode of his Six Feet Under podcast, ‘Taker took the opportunity to hit back at those claims. He said that he doesn’t care what people think of him outside of a small circle of friends. He added that it never occurred to him to use his supposed influence backstage to help his wife.

I think as equally as proud of my wrestling accolades is the way that I’ve been perceived and the way that my peers respect me, and at the end of the day, that’s really all that matters to me.

I have a very, very small inner circle of people that I actually care what they think of me. The people that are in the locker room, the guys that I shared the dressing room with, I care about what they think.

I’m pretty sure if you ask 99.5% of the guys that I’ve ever been in a dressing room with or worked in a territory with, they’re going to tell you that as much clout as I supposedly have, or even if I do, I never, ever would have used it for that kind of crap.”

The Undertaker Sends Message To Critics

The Deadman went on to say that it was “absurd” that people would suggest they have “sources” who claim he’d use politics to help McCool.

“It’s absurd that people get on the internet and can use words like ‘reliable sources’ and this and that, and everybody believes it. I’m not going to give anybody that kind of satisfaction of me having to explain myself…

Anybody that doesn’t believe any of that, they can all line up single file, I’ll bend over and then line up and kiss my ass. That’s just the way it is.”

The comments come after it was reported that The Undertaker had played a key role in Michelle McCool getting a spot on WWE LFG for season two. The report claimed that ‘Taker had agreed to continue onto the second season if his wife could also be invovled.

It should be noted there was never indication that he asked for Mickie James to be removed from her position.
