The Undertaker Has No Sympathy For Hulk Hogan

The Undertaker WWE Hall of Fame

The Undertaker thinks Hulk Hogan should have expected a negative reaction on Raw.

On the night Monday Night Raw debuted on Netflix, Hulk Hogan was booed out of the building when he appeared alongside Jimmy Hart.

Many believe the negative reaction stemmed from racist comments made by Hogan on video in 2007, which were subsequently leaked in 2015. In the footage, Hogan uses several racist slurs and admits he’s racist. Later that year, more video leaked, this time from 2008, where Hogan used racist language and said he hoped he and his son wouldn’t be reincarnated as Black males.

Although Hogan was removed from the WWE Hall of Fame over the initial incident, he was later reinstated. During this process, the veteran visited backstage at Extreme Rules 2018 but several reports have suggested he took the chance to warn of people making secret recordings, rather apologise for using racist language.

The Undertaker Gives Reaction To Hulk Hogan Drama

Speaking on his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker, who also appeared on the show, gave his take on the controversy around Hogan. The WWE Hall of Famer began by claiming Hogan tried to “no sell” the incident once he got backstage.

“When I saw him, he was no selling it and pushing his beer. I didn’t see…I wasn’t backstage when he came [to the backstage area].”

When asked whether he felt bad for Hogan, ‘Taker said that given the numerous controversies he’s been involved in, a negative reaction should have been somewhat expected.

“I got feelings for people. Sometimes, in life, things come back. He was bigger than life, Americana kinda of deal, then he gets caught on tape saying some derogatory, racist things. In this day and age, where all of that is such a hot-button deal, I don’t know what you expect. People are going to react, and they are not going to react in a positive way.”

While reflecting on his own involvement on Raw alongside Rhea Ripley, The Undertaker said he wants to be on WWE television less in the future.
