The Undertaker Recalls How He Felt Dressing Like WWE Hall Of Famer

The Undertaker entering the ring

The Undertaker has explained the pressure he felt when pretending to be Kane.

Since Kane wore a full bodysuit and mask early in his run as The Undertaker’s onscreen brother, The Deadman was able to trick the audience into believing he was the Devil’s Favourite Demon on more than one occasion.

Most famously, The Phenom donned The Big Red Machine’s outfit when he took on Triple H during a match on Raw in March 1999. The ruse allowed Undertaker to get close to Vince McMahon, who he was feuding with at the time.

Looking back on the moment on his Six Feet Under podcast, Undertaker admitted that while the idea was “genius,” he was felt pressure in not giving the game away.

“I don’t know whose idea it was but it was genius. And it was just funny because you think you know you’re with these people all the time and then when you have to emulate them to their mannerisms and everything, it does become kind of pressure-filled to sell it without being tipped off.

“When we did that, I think Kane was probably like 25 pounds heavier than I was, so I was like, ‘Oh, man, I’m going to look like anorexic Kane in this suit.’ But both times it came off without a hitch, nobody had a clue, and just one of those iconic moments.”

The Undertaker Is Fed Up With Cucumber Stuff

During the same episode, The Undertaker threatened to slap the next person who said he was afraid of cucumbers. Despite having detailed the reason behind his fear a few months ago, The Phenom now claims he “doesn’t like” the salad item, rather than being scared of it.
