The Undertaker Defends Bizarre WWE Weapons Claims

The Undertaker

The Undertaker has doubled down on his outlandish claims of just how wild the pro wrestling business was back in his day.

Since retiring from the ring, The Undertaker has not been shy of a bit of controversy. The WWE Hall of Famer publicly endorsed Donald Trump for US President while taking a bizarre shot at former in-ring rivals Batista and Mick Foley.

One of The Undertaker’s more controversial moments came in an interview with Joe Rogan in 2021 where he called modern wrestlers soft and claimed they were more interested in video games whereas stars of his vintage were apparently travelling around the country with weapons.

Despite the backlash to those comments, The Undertaker is standing firm on one aspect of them.

The Undertaker Doubles Down On Weapons Claim

Speaking on his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker hit back at suggestions he was stretching the truth when he suggested WWE stars used to travel routinely with guns and knives in their bag:

People called bulls*** on me when I went on Rogan and said, back in the day, that people carried guns and knives in their bags. There was bulls*** called on me, ‘How d’you go through TSA?’ There wasn’t a TSA back then and we were in the car.

I’m telling you, man, it was a whole different ball game back then. It was the wild, wild west. I’m glad, I am so happy that the business has evolved to where it is now so guys don’t have to worry about it… You just didn’t mess with the people, there were fights but you just didn’t.

Despite his long history in the wrestling business, The Undertaker has named the one job that he’d never do in WWE.
