Why The Undertaker’s Biggest Loss Devastated WWE Star
One of The Undertaker’s biggest defeats was tough to take.
For over two decades, The Undertaker turned up at WrestleMania, and he won. It was that simple.
What came to be known as The Streak, saw the likes of Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Ric Flair, Kane, Batista, CM Punk, and more step up to face The Deadman before resting in peace. However, on April 6th, 2014, history was changed forever when Brock Lesnar became the one in 21 and one.
Over the subsequent decade, controversy and discussion have continued to surround the WrestleMania 30 bout, with many feeling The Streak should have lasted forever.
But no matter their stance, fans and wrestlers alike can remember where they were when Brock Lesnar pinned The Undertaker, even if it’s a moment that left them devastated.
The Undertaker’s Defeat Left WWE Star Heartbroken
During an interview on the No Contest Wrestling Podcast, Bron Breakker recalled watching the famous moment The Streak was broken.
“I think when wrestling probably broke my heart, this is probably when the streak ended. Oh, WrestleMania 30,” Breakker confessed. “That was tough dude. It’s crazy to watch that. If you like, watch that clip back of them when that happened? And like, people were just — hands on their head.”
Breakker went on to reflect on the silence that came over the crowd at the final bell.
“Dude, it was just uncomfortable in there. I remember too, like, after he lost, there was just like this silence, just in there and everyone was just like, ‘What the hell just happened?’”
Bron Breakker will be back in action at Saturday Night’s Main Event when he puts the Intercontinental Title on the line against Sheamus. Elsewhere on the card, Rhea Ripley defends the Women’s World Title against Nia Jax, and Jey Uso will challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Title.
While reflecting on his recent appearance on Raw, The Undertaker said he wants to be on WWE television less in the future. The Hall of Famer added that he told Triple H he feels he shouldn’t be involved more than every couple of years.
