The Undertaker Has Given “Tons Of Advice” To WWE SmackDown Star

The Undertaker Says He Prefers Attitude Era Over Current WWE

A SmackDown star has opened up about their relationship with The Undertaker.

At Elimination Chamber 2020, Aleister Black squared off against AJ Styles in a No Disqualification Match. As Black appeared to be closing on victory, the Good Brothers decided to make their presence felt, and a three-on-one beatdown was quickly underway.

However, the lights went out, and The Undertaker’s gong sounded, and when the lights came back on, he dispatched Gallows and Anderson before hitting a Chokeslam on Styles. This allowed Black to grab the win, while setting up the final match of The Undertaker’s career against Styles at WrestleMania 36.

During an appearance on Wrestling The Rap Game, Black reflected on his in-ring brush with the WWE Hall of Famer and the advice he was given backstage.

“Taker’s always been very, very cool. [He] has given me tons of advice. I think the biggest thing he always told me is force people to sell your character. You’re not a regular character. You cannot have people do certain things to you. They have to react to you. They have to have a visual reaction to you. To this day, I still try to implement it, but again, schedule, wrestling change[s].

I remember after the match he was like ‘Hey kid, good selling. You took your time. I appreciate that.’ I’m like ‘Oh, thank you sir.’ It was just one of those things. Every once in a while, he would just take me to the side and was just talking to me about this character stuff. It was just very cool because he didn’t have to do that, but he did.”

The Undertaker Mentoring Forgotten WWE Star

Elsewhere, Omos has revealed that The Undertaker has taken a keen interest in his progress. The giant Nigerian star admitted he was initially star-struck when he first met The Deadman, but their relationship has evolved significantly since.

Omos explained that when he’s putting matches or specific spots together, he asks himself, “What would The Undertaker do?

Despite being recalled from his starring role with Pro Wrestling NOAH back in January, Omos is yet to return to WWE television, once again finding himself on the sidelines. The star hasn’t featured for the company since taking part in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal in April 2024.
