Speaking with Shannon Sharpe on Nightcap, the WWE Hall of Famer explained that superstars need to connect with fans during mic work, despite how they wrestle. It’s how the superstar makes someone feel that determines how high they can climb.

You have to have the ability to make somebody care, bar none. There’s a lot of guys, who have made a lot of money that can’t wrestle a lick. If I’m being honest right? But if you put this in their hand (microphone), you’re on the edge of your seat.

They don’t have to love you, they can hate you, you have to make people feel a certain way. And if you have that, everything else can take care of itself.
