The Street Profits Have A Plan As WWE Tag Team Champions

The Street Profits are elated to be WWE Tag Team Champions again.

In the main event of WWE SmackDown in Barcelona, #DIY’s Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano defended the WWE Tag Team Titles against The Street Profits duo of Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins.

Both teams have been teaming together for a very long time, so it was a great match between two of the best teams in the company.

There was an exciting finish to the match as Ciampa hit a Fairytale Ending along with a Gargano superkick for just a two count. When Gargano tagged in, #DIY went for their Meet in the Middle combo move, but Dawkins ducked and Gargano hit a superkick on Ciampa. It ended up being a costly mistake because Dawkins hit a spinebuster and Ford tagged in leading to a Frog Splash off the top for the pinfall win.

It was a huge win for The Street Profits because it was their first time holding WWE Tag Team Titles in over four years.

The Street Profits Won’t Lose The WWE Tag Team Titles Anytime Soon

While speaking to Cathy Kelley in a WWE digital exclusive video about their title win, The Street Profits duo of Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins spoke about their title win and made it clear they want to have a long title reign.

Angelo Dawkins: “Man, unreal. Unreal. A couple days ago, I went to go see Real Madrid versus Athletico Madrid. And watching their resilience on the pitch was something special. You know what I’m saying? It motivated me to come out here and put on the show especially in Barcelona. You know what I’m saying? A la Street Prophets. Hinato mas, baby.”

Montez Ford: “I know, all week we’ve been talking about jobs not finished. Job’s not finished, but guess what? Job’s just started. We the new WWE Tag Team Champions.”

Dawkins: “We ain’t losing these no time soon. So like we said, any team that want to get in our way, try to get a shot at these titles, we putting y’all in the dirt, ten toes down. Street Profits, bar none. Fade all. We want the smoke.”

The tag team division on WWE SmackDown is strong with former championship teams like #DIY and Motor City Machine Guns while Pretty Deadly and Los Garza are talented teams as well.

Montez Ford also went on X to thank the fans for their support.
