The Rock’s WWE WrestleMania Plan Still Up In The Air

The Rock WWE

The Rock returned to WWE at Bad Blood setting his sights on Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns and it seems WWE haven’t decided just what his future holds.

At WWE Bad Blood, Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes picked up a huge win in the night’s main event over Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga as Jimmy Uso made his long-awaited return to WWE. After that bout, Reigns and Uso left Cody Rhodes alone in the ring in his hometown but the WWE Champion soon had company.

The Bloodline attacked Rhodes with Jimmy uso convincing Reigns that they should go and help out the American Nightmare which they did. Reigns then spotted the WWE Title lying in the ring but handed it back to Rhodes without a fight. And then the roof came off the State Farm Arena.

The Rock – carrying his People’s Championship – made his entrance to a huge ovation as all three men and The Bloodline looked shocked to see him. The Rock stood at the top of the ramp and counted three with his fingers before leaving as quickly as he arrived with it remaining to be seen if he was targeting Roman Reigns or Cody Rhodes.

But it seems The Rock could have been looking at both men.

Triple Threat On The Horizon For The Rock?

WrestleVotes reported on a Backstage Pass Q&A that The Rock’s signal could have pointed towards a triple threat match with both Rhodes and Reigns and that possibility remains very much on the table:

My thought is it signifies that’s where we’re going for WrestleMania. 1-2-3 as in triple threat match. Yeah, I can tell you that’s on the table. I don’t know for sure if it’s been finalized in any way.

It’s October 8. I doubt it’s been finalized, but that idea has been floated and I think it makes the most sense for the company to get those three guys in the ring.

The Rock teamed with Roman Reigns to defeat Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40. However, The Rock made clear he had the new WWE Champion in his sights on the Raw following that show before he disappeared from the company once again.
