WWE Trading Card Featuring The Rock Sets Record

The Rock Dwayne Johnson WWE

The Rock is setting WWE records even when he’s not appearing in the company’s programming with this latest record coming in the world of trading cards.

During his electrifying WWE career, Dwayne “The Rock” accomplished a lot while wrestling against the biggest names in company history such as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho and John Cena to name a few.

While The Rock walked away from WWE about twenty years ago to become a movie star and successful businessman, wrestling fans still consider “The Great One” to be one of the greatest superstars of all-time. The Rock is a former 10-time WWE World Champion (two of those were the WCW World Title) that headlined WrestleMania four times and is constantly rumored about coming back for having at least one more match. (Yes, the WrestleMania 40 rumors have already begun!)

In addition to his incredible run in WWE and his fame as one of the most recognizable celebrities in the world, The Rock is also a big draw in the trading card world.

It was reported by TMZ that a 2022 Panini WWE Black Prizm card featuring The Brahma Bull sold for $126,000 at auction. That number is significant because it is the highest-selling WWE trading card of all time. The card features The Rock giving a patented Rock Bottom to Steve Austin during their legendary rivalry that saw them face off at WrestleMania 15 in 1999, WrestleMania 17 in 2001, and WrestleMania 19 in 2003.

Jesse Craig is the Vice President of Sales at PWCC and he provided some more information on the impressive price of the card featuring the People’s Champion.

You can see the trading card below with thanks to TMZ for sharing it.
