The Rock Calls Top WWE Executive An “Excellent Leader”

The Rock on WWE Raw

The Rock has praised a big name in WWE as somebody who redefined the company’s global presence.

It was announced earlier this year that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson had been named to the TKO Board of Directors, which means he is one of the most influential people in all of WWE.

In addition to that, The Rock stepped back into the WWE ring in the WrestleMania 40 Saturday main event when he teamed up with Roman Reigns to defeat Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins in a match where Rock pinned Rhodes.

On the Raw after WrestleMania 40, Rock spoke about how he was going away for a while, but he would be back. While nothing has been made official yet, Rock is likely stepping into the ring at WrestleMania 41 next April in Las Vegas for perhaps a singles match with the WWE Champion Rhodes.

An ESPN article ranking the 15 most influential people in boxing, MMA and wrestling has gotten the world talking because of where certainly people were ranked.

Some names with WWE ties were ranked in the article:

13. Logan & Jake Paul
6. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson
5. WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque
3. WWE President Nick Khan

The top two were UFC President Dana White at #2 and #1 was Turki Alalshikh, who is the Chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority.

In the article, The Rock would go on to praise Nick Khan for his leadership abilities.

“Nick Khan is a unique force in the sports and entertainment world. Excellent leader, strong business acumen and one of the visionary strategists in the game.”

The Rock Trusts Nick Khan

As he continued, Rock made it clear that he values and trusts WWE President Nick Khan a lot.

“He’s redefined WWE’s global presence and has set new benchmarks in the industry across all verticals. Nick’s become a close and trusted consigliere to me as well as being an absolute killer — the kind you want in the foxhole with you.”

It’s not known when The Rock may appear on WWE TV again, but the People’s Champion seems likely to make some appearances again in early 2025, especially as WWE moves Raw to Netflix as part of one of the biggest deals in WWE history.
