The Rock Given Surprise One-On-One WWE Challenge

The Rock was not in Australia for the Elimination Chamber but he was issued a massive challenge on the show.

Cody Rhodes finally made his decision by challenging Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 and it was his words about Reigns’ family that incensed The Rock and led to him slapping The American Nightmare in the face.

World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins had an up close and personal view of that incident and had vowed to Rhodes that he would be the shield to protect him from Reigns, The Rock, and The Bloodline.

The WrestleMania 40 trailer teased a huge match between those four men that would see three of them competing on both nights of the event but it seems WWE may have made another pivot.

Cody Rhodes Wants The Rock

The Grayson Waller Effect took place in Perth, Australia at Elimination Chamber with both Rhodes and Rollins as the special guests. Cody Rhodes sent a message to The Rock and told him he wanted the WWE icon one-on-one anytime, any place. Seth Rollins then interjected to point out that when The Bloodline is concerned there is no such thing as one-on-one and Rhodes would not be fighting that battle alone.

Rhodes made no mention of WrestleMania in his challenge and the match has not yet been made official so it remains to be seen if he’ll get his hands on The Great One in a singles match.
