The Rock Makes Shock Offer To Cody Rhodes On WWE Return

The Rock is back in WWE and he’s targeted Cody Rhodes again as the road to WrestleMania looks set to be hijacked once again.

In early 2024, Cody Rhodes won the Royal Rumble and looked set to be on the road to a straightforward rematch with Roman Reigns before The Rock got involved. WWE planned to move Cody Rhodes aside to have the long-awaited Reigns vs. Rock match but fans made clear they’d erupt if that would happen.

In the end, The Rock sided with Reigns to face Rhodes and Rollins on night one but not even The Final Boss could stop Cody Rhodes from finishing his story and winning the WWE Title on night two. One night after on Raw, The Rock confronted Rhodes again hinting at a future showdown between them.

Fast forward to the first Raw on Netflix and it looked like any match between them was off when The Rock was gushing in his praise of The American Nightmare. Reports have suggested The Rock will not be part of WrestleMania 41 but now the picture is cloudier than ever.

The Rock Wants Cody Rhodes’ Soul

The Rock appeared on the February 21 edition of SmackDown where he confronted Rhodes again. Speaking about the doors he could open for Rhodes and touting his relationship with TKO boss Ari Emanuel, The Rock spoke as if he was every bit The Final Boss.

Telling Rhodes that he wanted him to be his champion, The Rock harked back to when he was Vince McMahon’s “corporate champion” in 1998. The Rock then told Rhodes he didn’t want the WWE Title for himself, instead he wanted Rhodes’ soul.

As things stand Cody Rhodes is set to face the winner of the Elimination Chamber at WrestleMania 41. The six men in that match are Drew McIntyre, Damian Priest, Logan Paul, Seth Rollins, CM Punk, and John Cena.

The Rock told Rhodes he would be at Elimination Chamber in Toronto to await his answer about becoming his personal WWE Champion.
