The Rock Shares Backstage Footage Of SmackDown Return
The Rock has shared his own footage of his shock SmackDown return.
The Rock stunned the wrestling world when he made a surprise return to WWE television on SmackDown in Denver. The star joined Pat McAfee in confronting Austin Theory before taking out the former US Champion with a People’s Elbow to the delight of everyone.
However, eagle-eyed viewers noticed something different about The Rock’s entrance as someone could be seen filming the icon through their phone as he took in the adoration of the masses at the top of the entranceway.
What did The Rock say about SmackDown return?
Now taking to social media, The Rock has shared that footage and given thanks to the fans in attendance and the man who captured the footage:
“Cool look from backstage when my music hits – I’m hyped, focused and locked in, but this stuff makes me smile every damn time I walk thru that curtain 😊 You can feel the MANA here. It’s real.
This crowd eruption is one of the loudest reactions I’ve ever experienced in my grateful & lucky career – and these reactions get louder, crazier and more special every time the music hits. 14,000 of you erupted like it was 100,000 💥 Connecting with people is who I am at my core and our connection is hard to explain. I feel it though. It’s electric and emotional.
Powerful stuff. ~ People’s Champ ✊🏾
* shout to Jordan Drutman for the phenomenal iPhone work capturing the emotion and mana of this moment 💫📱👊🏾”
The Rock’s return saw the show bring in huge viewership figures as well as massive numbers who watched his comeback across social media. However, if the legend wants to return to the show that his catchphrase helped name after September 2024, he’ll be doing it on the USA Network rather than FOX.
