The Rock Reacts To Setting Record Numbers For WWE
After setting a record for WWE yet again, The Rock has credited the fans for supporting him.
The New Year’s Day episode of WWE Monday Night Raw was called Day 1 and one of the big things that was anticipated on the show was the return of a former WWE Champion.
When it was time for the segment, a former WWE Champion did show up – it was Jinder Mahal. Needless to say, the fans were disappointed as Mahal spent about five minutes insulting them when suddenly another former WWE Champion appeared…it was The Rock! There were rumors earlier in the day about Rock appearing, but in WWE land, unless it actually happens, you never really know.
Following some insults from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson toward Mahal, the People’s Champion beat up Mahal much to the delight of the crowd. After that, The Rock mentioned sitting at the “Head of the Table” as a direct shot to Roman Reigns, who has said he is the Head of the Table for the past 3.5 years while holding the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. It’s an obvious tease for a future match between the cousins.
On WWE Smackdown from Vancouver, a graphic was shown that said The Rock’s appearance drew over 171 million views on social media over five days. The graphic said that broke a WWE social media record.
To give you an example of Johnson’s power on social media, just look at his Instagram account compared to WWE. The Rock on Instagram has a whopping 395 million followers, which is a massive number especially compared to 30.6 million for WWE on Instagram.
The Rock Credits “The People” For Breaking Records
In a post on his Instagram account, Rock posted the image that was shown on Smackdown and credited the people for breaking records.
Not a bad days work.
The people break the records, not me.
I just try and look cool, donโt screw up and not cuss too much ๐๐๐ค
Love U back.

There’s no word yet on when The Rock will appear on WWE TV or when he might wrestler, but obviously his appearance on Raw has gotten the whole world talking in the first week of 2024.
