The Rock Allegedly Sabotaged Triple H’s WWE Segment On Purpose

Triple H The Rock WWE WrestleMania

The Rock and Triple H do not like each other, and this speculation has been told and retold by critics and fans. However, neither of them will say it out loud, given that they are key figures in the industry and WWE’s management.

Currently, The Brahma Bull is a part of TKO’s Board of Directors, while Triple H is WWE’s Chief Content Officer. Both of them play a significant role, but Dwayne Johnson is technically The Game’s boss. However, HHH has major control over creative angles.

After Elimination Chamber 2025, The Rock did not make appearances in WWE. He played a key role in John Cena’s heel turn, but his sudden disappearance led to that creative angle being a wasted opportunity.

The Rock has previously sabotaged plans involving Triple H

Back in 2004, The Rock stepped inside the ring with Jonathan Coachman, who played the character of a middle manager lackey and a diabolical heel everyone hated.

During a segment on RAW in 2004, Coachman was openly berating Eugene (who was an intellectually disabled character). As Eugene started going backstage, The Rock came out to the arena and took him back to the ring. The Brahma Bull gave Jonathan Coachman a verbal smackdown and made it the greatest day of Coachman’s career.

On The Coach and Bro, Coachman revealed that the reason The Rock went an extra 12 minutes during that segment was because of a conversation he had prior. The Final Boss got to know that Triple H was on the crossover and chose to bypass the allotted 12 minutes by another 12 minutes.

I’m telling you guys, I’ve been in the room. I’ve been in the room. Rock hates Triple H. He always has. He always will. I’ve told the story a million times. When me and him had our greatest night of my career in San Diego, he said, “Coach, who’s on the crossover?” Meaning at the top of the hour and the crossover match, guys, if something else goes along, it goes like this. And I said, “Oh, Triple H and whoever.” He goes, “Oh, okay.” And that’s when we went 12 extra minutes.

Whether or not The Rock ever comes back to WWE TV is still up for debate. However, there were plans for him in 2025 that were scrapped after he went AWOL.
