The Rock vs. Roman Reigns Not Happening On Major WWE Show
Rumours are running rampant that The Rock and Roman Reigns are on a collision course but one WWE event won’t see a match between them take place.
For years now, wrestling fans have salivated at the prospect of The Rock returning to WWE one more – and possibly last time – to challenge Roman Reigns over who is really The Tribal Chief. It did not happen when WrestleMania went Hollywood in 2023 but with the 40th edition of the grandaddy of them all just around the corner, it seems the match is closer than ever.
However, Cody Rhodes might have something to say about that. Rhodes failed to dethrone Reigns as WWE Universal Champion at WrestleMania 39 and many are backing him to finally finish his story on the grandest stage of them all in 2024.
Therefore, rumours had swirled that The Rock and Roman Reigns’ showdown could come before WrestleMania and even take place in Perth, Australia when the company takes Elimination Chamber down under in February but Australian fans might be disappointed.
The Rock vs. Roman Reigns Not Happening In Australia
Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that it has been confirmed that The Rock and Roman Reigns won’t be facing off in Australia at Elimination Chamber and that Reigns isn’t even scheduled for that show. However, the presumption is the two megastars will face off at WrestleMania.
The Rock doubled down on his Roman Reigns tease recently after wondering if he should sit at the head of the table on his return to Monday Night Raw.
