The Rock May Return For Blockbuster Match At WWE WrestleMania 42

The Rock on WWE Raw

The Rock may wrestle at WrestleMania 42.

The last time the WWE Universe saw The Brahma Bull in the Stamford-based promotion was at Elimination Chamber when John Cena sold his soul to him.

He was rumored to make an appearance at WrestleMania 41 and play a key role in the John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes rivalry. However, he never showed up, reportedly due to creative differences with Triple H.

On the “Day 1” episode of Raw on January 1, 2024, The People’s Champion made an appearance and subtly teased sitting at “The Head of the Table.”

He then expressed his desire to challenge Reigns for the WWE Undisputed Championship at WrestleMania 40, but WWE had to book Cody Rhodes as Reigns’ opponent due to fan pressure.

The Rock vs Roman Reigns is a dream match, and fans are still waiting for it to happen.

On the episode of K100, Konnan and Disco Inferno shared their predictions for WrestleMania 42. During their chat, Konnan predicted that Rock could return at Mania this year to lock horns with Reigns in Las Vegas.

Konnan said, “I’m still sticking to a Roman Rock Wrestlemania” (From 2:07)

The Rock is one of the biggest names in pro-wrestling. But he rarely appears on WWE anymore. He spends most of his time in Hollywood, making blockbuster movies for the big screen.

The Rock Moved To Hollywood To “Challenge” Himself

In a recent THR Actor Roundtable, The Rock, aka Dwayne Johnson, revealed why he left WWE to move to Hollywood. He said:

Well, I think it was planned by something more powerful than me, for sure. Destiny, I believe in the universe, but I also wanted to grow, and I wanted to challenge myself.

My first acting gig was The Mummy Returns with Brendan Fraser. We were shooting in Morocco in the Sahara Desert, and I was so sick cause I went over there, and I probably ate something I shouldn’t have eaten. So, I caught that thing, and it’s 110°. I’m freezing. I’m wearing a blanket.

Stephen Sommers comes over, the director, ‘Hey, you okay?’ I’m like, ‘yeah, I’m okay. Let’s do it.’ He calls action. We have our scene. And I had never acted before, but he called action.

And when he says cut, you know, we hear the ‘Oh, you got bit by the acting bug, the thing that happens.’ When he yelled cut, I went, ‘This is what I want to do for the rest of my life.’
