The Rock May Return to WWE After Shocking Roman Reigns Loss

Roman Reigns The Rock WWE

The WWE Universe has been eagerly waiting to see when The Rock might step back into the ring.

Many fans expected him to appear at WrestleMania 41, especially since he played a major role in John Cena’s heel turn storyline. However, he was a no-show at the event, leaving fans guessing about his future in WWE.

Months have passed since then, and there is still no confirmation on whether or when The Rock will make his next appearance. Wrestling analyst Sam Roberts recently offered an interesting narrative on his Notsam Wrestling podcast.

The Rock vs. Cody Rhodes Feud for WrestleMania 42

According to Roberts, The Final Boss’ return could take place after Roman Reigns suffers a shocking loss to Cody Rhodes. Roberts explained that Cody Rhodes is once again the Undisputed WWE Champion, which puts him in the sights of several massive contenders, including Drew McIntyre, Brock Lesnar, and even Roman Reigns himself.

Roberts suggested that, in a possible storyline, The Great One might return after The American Nightmare hypothetically beats Roman Reigns. In that scenario, The Rock’s comeback would set the stage for him to get involved at WrestleMania 42, creating a major and highly anticipated angle for WWE’s biggest stage.

“Now you’ve got a Cody Rhodes’ title reign where it’s Drew, it’s hypothetically War Games, it’s hypothetically Brock Lesnar, it’s hypothetically Roman Reigns… And then who knows if he beats Roman Reigns, maybe then The Rock comes out, and maybe The Rock gets involved at WrestleMania 42, and it’s like, is he on Roman Reigns’ side or is he on Cody Rhodes’ side? Like there’s there’s a lot that you can do with this,” he said. (44:01- 44:33)

For now, this remains purely speculative, but the idea of The Rock returning in the aftermath of a Roman Reigns defeat adds another layer of excitement for fans who have been waiting for The Great One to electrify the WWE once again.
