The Rock Nearly Involved In Disastrous Plane Mishap
The Rock has commented on nearly being involved in a catastrophic plane accident.
While The Rock is known for being a WWE legend and a megastar in the Hollywood world, he’s also a co-owner of the UFL pro football league.
In a video posted on social media, The Rock revealed that he was on a private plane that had to turn around to Hawaii rather than make it to their destination in Houston.
Super bummed I can’t be in Texas but so grateful we were able to land the plane safely. So sorry to our @TheUFL fans, players, coaches, staff and our teams at @FOXSports @espn I’m not there.
Let’s have a great season 2 opening weekend, have fun, and ball out.
In the video, The Rock said he was supposed to be at the Houston Roughnecks game as they host the St. Louis Battlehawks, and he would have hyped up the crowd while he was there.
It was explained by The Rock that his flight took off from Hawaii to Houston on Thursday evening. However, 35 to 40 minutes into the flight, one of the pilots spoke to him and said it was unsafe to continue the flight over the ocean due to a plane issue. He was told the plan had a hydraulics issue with overheating.
When The Rock was told that it was unsafe to continue the flight, they went back to Hawaii.
At the end of the video, Rock encouraged the UFL players to “grab the opportunity by the throat” and see them go on to the NFL and kick ass there as well.
The Rock Wants WWE Fans To Be Patient
When The Rock last appeared on WWE television, he was part of a huge moment when John Cena turned heel on Cody Rhodes and align with The Final Boss and rapper Travis Scott.
After the show, The Rock spoke about the long-term vision he has in WWE and encouraged fans to be patient.
“It meant something. I’m a long gamer. I like long gaming. I like creating with Paul [Levesque] and Brian Gewirtz and Maya Lasry, who is on my side of the team. I like creating with Paul and his team as well. We’re long gamers.
A lot thought Bad Blood, when I just did a small subtle thing, there was a lot of criticism, ‘Oh, it didn’t mean anything.’ It did. It’s okay. It’s okay if you’re not thinking about it now, but just trust me when I tell you, we are thinking about this stuff and long gaming this.
Same thing when we opened up with Netflix in LA when I came out at the Director of the Board and welcomed everybody and thanked Cody Rhodes for carrying the company. I gave him dap and a big hug.
I knew this night was coming. We are long gaming.”
