The Rock May Suffer A Massive Betrayal Upon His WWE Return
The Rock’s plan to use John Cena as a corporate heel and dominate WWE has progressed swimmingly.
“The Brahma Bull” had been stalking then-Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes, trying to convince him to join him.
An ultimate showdown between the two occurred after the 2025 Elimination Chamber match, which saw Cena emerge as the victor and Rhodes declining Rock’s offer.
Cena, in the guise of a friend, attacked Rhodes, completing his heel transformation in more than two decades. Ever since, he has been the face of WWE again, dominating arenas and opponents.
With Cena on his retirement tour, how does the story end for him? Does he turn face? Does he turn on The Rock?
The Four Horsemen Network, hosted by Dom DeAngelo, discussed the possibilities, with Magnum T.A. and Greg Gagne also joining.
He’d (Cena) have to turn on The Rock, said Gagne.
And Magnum T.A. agreed.
Yeah, 100%. Not even a question. There’s 101 ways they go about doing it. It’s hard for them keeping him (Cena) there because I can already see him showing some emotion when he’s leaving the ring. He’s working it fantastic. But you can see it in his eyes. It’s hard to just completely keep him in that coldblooded sausage maker roll.
Could The Rock Be John Cena’s “Final Boss?”
If Cena were to turn face by the final months of his tour, who better to challenge him than The Rock himself?
The match would also conclude a much-deserved trilogy, with their rivalry currently sitting at one win apiece.
Cena will partner with Logan Paul at Money in the Bank PLE to face Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso.
