The Rock In Full Control Of WWE Future
The Rock’s future in WWE is something that he controls while speculation continues about what comes next.
When it comes to the WWE Universe, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson holds a lot of power as one of the greatest superstars of all time who also happens to be a part of the TKO Group’s Board of Directors.
After wrestling in the WrestleMania 40 Saturday main event and leaving without any major injuries, there is optimism that Rock has more matches left in him. What isn’t known is when those matches might happen.
There was a report that The Rock may not be a part of WrestleMania 41 in April 2025 in Las Vegas due to a busy schedule, but the People’s Champion claimed that was “bulls**t” and shut that rumor down as best as he could.
In an update, Fightful Select reports that WWE is a priority for The Rock and he’s expected to be in the mix in a sporadic fashion. It is believed that Rock has made it clear that he’s “part of the family” so he’s going to appear when he’s able to be there. Obviously, he has commitments making movies and being involved in his other businesses.
The first Raw episode on Netflix is January 6 from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. While WWE hasn’t promoted that location yet, it is expected. Fightful claims that sources at the Intuit Dome believe that Rock will be present for that Raw on Netflix debut although it’s not confirmed even though there’s an internal buzz about it.
Predicting What The Rock Will Do Is A Difficult Task
Regarding the rumor that Rock might not be a part of WrestleMania 41, WWE sources told Fightful that they didn’t know where that came from. Nothing has been confirmed either way about Rock’s plans for WrestleMania in Las Vegas.
Trying to predict what The Rock might do in six months is a difficult thing because he does what he wants regarding his career and his public appearances. What that means is if Rock wants to appear on a WWE show then he’s going to do it. Fightful adds that several people within the company said that “they’ve not been given messaging that the Rock WON’T appear at WrestleMania.”
The Rock’s last WWE appearance was in Atlanta at Bad Blood when he showed up to have a long-distance staredown with WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Rock’s WrestleMania 40 tag team partner Roman Reigns. Since The Rock was in the state of Georgia one day earlier at a high school football game, he was able to make that appearance.
It was mentioned by Fightful that the possibility of Rock making that appearance as a reality in the weeks leading up to Bad Blood. It was a few days before the show when WWE confirmed that The Rock would be there.
