The Rock Attending Football Game In Same State As WWE Bad Blood

The Rock

A trip to a high school football game has led to speculation that The Rock could be making his WWE return as well.

There was a horrific mass shooting on September 4, 2024 at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia. A 14-year-old boy named Colt Gray shot and killed two students along with two teachers at the school. There were also nine other teachers injured in the horrific inside. Colt Gray was arrested and so was his father Colin Gray.

On Instagram, WWE legend and UFL Co-Owner Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson announced that he would be attending Apalachee’s first home game since the shooting, which will be later this evening on October 4th.

Big football game tonight as the Apalachee High School Wildcats take the field in their first home game back since their school’s mass shooting about a month ago.

These players, coaches, teachers, the entire community and ALL the students at Apalachee are the symbol of resilience, love and strength.

I promised them, I would be there tonight for them – and I will.

Win or lose, these Apalachee kids are already undefeated.

See you tonight, LETS GO.

It’s an incredible gesture by The Rock, who is a huge football fan and a good human being who is doing all he can to lift up a community that has had a difficult time over the last month.

Could The Rock Appear At WWE Bad Blood?

Since The Rock announced he would be at the football game in Winder, Georgia, it has led to a lot of WWE fans speculating that he could appear at WWE Bad Blood one night later on October 5th. The reason for that is because Bad Blood is in Atlanta, GA, which is about a 90 minute drive from where Rock will be on Friday.

Another reason why fans are speculating about The Rock possibly being at Bad Blood is that Pat McAfee spoke to Cody Rhodes on Wednesday and said “the big guy is coming back this week” which led to some people thinking The Rock could be returning at Bad Blood. When responding to McAfee, Rhodes asked “is he?” and “which one?” as his way of playing dumb, so it was obvious that Cody didn’t want to mention a possible Rock return while a camera was on him.

The Rock last appeared as “The Final Boss” on WWE television on the April 8th edition of Raw just one night after WrestleMania 40. On that night, Rock let WWE Champion Cody Rhodes know that he was coming for him, but it’s not known officially when Rock might be back on WWE television.

Since being away from WWE, The Rock filmed the movie “Smashing Machine” and it’s believed that filming is done, so perhaps it could lead to future appearances for Rock moving forward.

At WWE Bad Blood, WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will team with Roman Reigns against The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu, so there are a lot of ways that Rock could get involved. There is also Crown Jewel on November 2nd and then Survivor Series on November 30th, which will feature a WarGames match that also could involve The Rock since The Bloodline could be a part of the WarGames match again.
