The Rock Delighted With WWE WrestleMania Return
The Rock has opened up about his experience at WrestleMania 40 as speculation about his future in WWE continues to run rampant.
The Rock returned to the WWE ring for the first time in many years at WrestleMania 40 when he teamed with Roman Reigns to defeat Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. However, The Rock couldn’t stop Cody Rhodes from finishing his story one night later as Rhodes defeated Reigns to become the Undisputed WWE Champion.
The Rock then made a shock return at the end of Bad Blood to confront Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes, as rumours about his involvement at WrestleMania 41 continue to run wild. However, there have been suggestions that The Rock will not be back in the ring at Las Vegas but the Final Boss has hit out at those claims.
The Rock Had A Great Time At WrestleMania 40
Speaking on The Tonight Show, The Rock was promoting his new films Red One and Moana 2 but the conversation steered to pro wrestling with the WWE icon reflecting on his full-circle moment at WrestleMania 40:
I had such a great time. Cody and Seth and Roman, it was just wild. I grew up in that world of pro wrestling. There’s nothing like when that music hits and the crowd goes crazy.
[Fallon said it feels like The Rock is home when he’s performing]. That’s a good way to put it. I grew up in the world of pro wrestling, and I followed the careers of my grandfather and my dad. My grandfather and my dad used to wrestle up here at [Madison Square Garden] in the ‘70s, and here I come along, not trying to screw anything up with their legacy.
Then all of a sudden, the business has grown into what it’s grown into. TKO now owns WWE, and I have the honor of sitting on the board of TKO. What a full-circle moment. It’s crazy.
