Cody Rhodes got some payback with a slap to The Rock’s face, so how did the People’s Champion react to that after the show?

In the main event WWE SmackDown in Dallas, The Rock was in the ring with the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, the World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins and 2024 Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes.

During the segment, The Rock reiterated the challenge for the WrestleMania 40 tag team match. It would be Rock & Reigns against Rhodes & Rollins. If Rhodes & Rollins win then that means The Bloodline will be banned from ringside for the Reigns-Rhodes match at WrestleMania 40 Night 2. However, if Rock & Reigns win then it will be “Bloodline Rules” at WrestleMania 40 Night 2 meaning anything goes in the Rhodes-Reigns match.

There was some yelling during the segment including when Rollins told Rock to shut up. Reigns also mocked Rollins for the clothes that he wears.

The focus at the end was on Rock and Rhodes. Rock said that Cody is the youngest in his family, his sister was a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, Cody’s brother is a future Hall of Famer and Rock said that Cody is 20 years younger than his siblings and you know why…because Cody was a mistake. Cody responded to that with a slap to The Rock’s face, which staggered The Rock back and that was the end of the show.

For Cody, it was a way to pay The Rock back for slapping Cody at the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff press event one month earlier.

Smackdown ended right at 9:59 p.m. ET so what happened after the show came to a close? The Rock simply walked away.

Cody Rhodes Really Enjoyed Slapping The Rock

That moment when Cody Rhodes slapped The Rock in the face was something that drew a big reaction from the fans in Dallas because you don’t see many people doing that to The Rock. It shows that Cody is a man of pride and doesn’t appreciate the disrespect shown by The Rock.

As for his reaction to the slap, Cody Rhodes posted a photo of his slap to The Rock’s face. Reigns can be seen in the background laughing although that was likely due to Rock calling Cody a mistake because the slap came right after.
