The Rock Showers Cody Rhodes With Custom Gifts On WWE TV

The Rock has showered Cody Rhodes with more gifts as he continues to groom the WWE Champion while making reference to Rhodes’ late father.

The Rock appeared on the February 21 edition of SmackDown where he confronted Rhodes again. Speaking about the doors he could open for Rhodes and touting his relationship with TKO boss Ari Emanuel, The Rock spoke as if he was every bit The Final Boss.

Telling Rhodes that he wanted him to be his champion, The Rock harked back to when he was Vince McMahon’s “corporate champion” in 1998. The Rock then told Rhodes he didn’t want the WWE Title for himself, instead he wanted Rhodes’ soul.

Cody Rhodes will have to give The Rock his answer at Elimination Chamber but has been warned off The Great One’s offer by Seth Rollins.

But on the February 28 edition of SmackDown, that decision might have become even harder.

The Rock Begs Cody Rhodes Not To Break His Heart

Cody Rhodes was in the ring with Michael Cole when Cole revealed he was being told that a gift was on hand for Rhodes. A truck covered in Rhodes’ name and logo was driven out before a video of The Rock played on the big screen.

The Rock was behind the gift but he also had another for Rhodes as he revealed a weight belt emblazoned with the words “Cody’s Soul” and the date “June 11th 2015.” As The Rock explained that date is significant to Cody Rhodes as it is the date that his WWE Hall of Famer father Dusty Rhodes sadly passed away.
