However, Roberts pointed out that the company could choose to build a storyline where Rock is portrayed as the one who asked The Beast Incarnate to take out John Cena at SummerSlam.

Roberts explained that the narrative could go like this: John Cena “sold his soul” to The Rock during Elimination Chamber, but at SummerSlam, he turned babyface again, distancing himself from The Great One. Now, the story could develop with The Rock deciding to send Brock Lesnar after Cena because Cena refused to do his dirty work anymore.

I don’t think that it’ll have anything to do with The Rock. I mean, it could be like The Rock sends Brock in because of what John Cena said, and John Cena, you know, stepped away from the plan.
