The Real Reason Behind Natalya’s WWE Absence
Natalya has finally returned to WWE television but now the veteran has explained why she’s been missing from the company over the summer.
WWE contracts have been a huge talking point in 2024, but on July 13th it was revealed another mystery had been settled. Despite weeks of speculation, and hints she might be heading elsewhere, it was confirmed Natalya had signed a new deal to stay with WWE.
During her absence, Raw’s women’s division faced a new triple threat as the Pure Fusion Collective was formed comprising Sonya Deville, Zoey Stark, and Shayna Baszler. After they attacked Zelina Vega and Lyra Valkyria those two stars were left looking for a partner to even the odds and with a six-woman tag team match set for Raw in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, there could be only one star for the job.
Natalya answered the call and teamed with Valkyria and Vega to claim a victory over the Pure Fusion Collective when Raw came to her hometown.
Natalya Explains WWE Absence
Speaking on Growing Up Von Erichs, Natalya explained the reasons for her taking some extended time off over the summer:
Yesterday, Monday Night Raw, I made my return back to the ring. I took the summer off, I was working on a couple of projects.
We were back in Calgary, and that’s where my family started. It was so cool to make my re-debut in WWE back in Calgary. My whole family was there, Bret (Hart) was on Raw. I was able to win my match for my team. It was cool. It’s always nice to be back home.
Bret Hart returned to Raw where he came face to face with World Heavyweight Champion Gunther. The Ring General didn’t win any friends as he trolled The Hitman over one of his most hated rivals.
